
West Marion Resilience Hub
The West Marion Resilience Hub is a transformative $24.1 million community project that will bring new life to a historic industrial site in Marion, North Carolina. Developed by West Marion Inc., a mission-driven nonprofit, the 50,000 SF facility is designed to serve as a hub for health, education, recreation, entrepreneurship, and emergency preparedness. Anchored by key partners including Pardee Hospital and Mountainview Child Enrichment Center, the Hub will feature a behavioral health clinic, pharmacy, daycare, co-working and innovation spaces, a community library and event center, a gymnasium, and a public pool .
In addition to these services, the Hub will house a commercial kitchen supporting workforce training, food access, and emergency response, while future plans include establishing a satellite campus for North Carolina A&T University. With leases secured or in negotiation for all major tenants, the Hub is projected to generate strong, sustainable revenue, ensuring long-term stability and community impact.
More than a building, the West Marion Resilience Hub is a community-led model of inclusive, place-based development. Through extensive local engagement and a collaborative governance structure, the project is designed to maximize cultural and economic equity, create lasting resilience, and serve as a cornerstone for regional revitalization.
